Aosta Valley: exhibition at the “Maison Bruil”, Introd
In Introd, Aosta Valley, you can find the ”Parc Animalier” where to observe examples of the alpine fauna, and the “Maison Bruil”, with its exhibition titled ”Conservare il ricordo…ricordarsi per conservare” (that is, Keep the memory…remember to preserve).
The exhibition is set up within an authentic house, built according to the traditional mountain style, and offers true examples of food preservation methods, used by the farmers who lived in Aosta Valley and in the Alps at the beginning of the XXth century. How to transform, cook, salt, dehydrate food in order to preserve it a long time. All methods that are used even today for preserving the genuine savour of the traditional mountain recipes.
