Chamonix, France, mountain restaurant “L’Impossible”
Chamonix, France, set in a quiet corner of the town, just a short stroll away from the Aiguille du Midi cableway, you will find the mountain restaurant L’Impossible.
A farmhouse dating back to 1754, fully renovated and transformed into the perfect place from which to experience a romantic dinner for two or an exciting evening with a group of friends.
Wooden rustic decor, interior walls adorned with paintings and photographs, two beautiful crystal chandeliers, the warmth of the fireplace give the restaurant a cosy and inviting ambiance.
The rich menu harmoniously combines traditional mountain flavours and more modern French cuisine: a wide variety of gourmet and local starters (home-smoked salmon, fois gras, onion or pumpink soup, snails in garlic butter), different types of meat (roasted pork or chicken, grilled beef, rack of lamb, stuffed quails) but also cheese fondue or a selection of local cheeses. To conclude, discover the special dessert of the chef or savour an ice cream.
After your lavish meal, nothing better than a leisurely walk in Chamonix town centre, but if you are tired, the restaurant L’Impossible runs a shuttle service to take you back to your hotel.
