Dinner at the restaurant “La Clotze”, Courmayeur, Aosta Valley

At Courmayeur, immersed in the striking scenery of the Val Ferret, the restaurant La Clotze is, from 1972, a renowned culinary corner ideal for sharing the tastes of delicious traditional recipes.
From 1997, the restaurant is managed by family Bucci. Auro is the cooking genius, his wife Donatella and his daughter Marta welcome hosts with elegance and courtesy in a warm and friendly ambiance.
Savour the delights of Auro’s recipes, which represent a combination of the traditional Aosta Valley cooking and fragrances and tastes coming from Piemonte (native region of his wife). High-quality ingredients, strongly related to the mountain nature, used to prepare tasty but at the same time light dishes, with special care to the health cuisine too: not much salt, natural malt instead of sugar, home made bread, brown rice, aromatic herbs, wholewheat flour.
At La Clotze menus change following the seasons but always include Aosta Valley traditional specialities: raw ham, lard, black puddings, soups, venison, polenta, apple pie…
An excellent wine selected from the well-provided and refined restaurant’s wine cellar and yours meals, at the foot of Mont Blanc, will be perfect!
