Restaurant “La Clusaz”: mountain traditional cuisine in Gignod, Aosta Valley

la sala ristorante della locanda la clusaz a Gignod

At Gignod, Aosta Valley, the restaurant ”La Clusaz”, awarded from Michelin guide, is a good choice for a refined dining experience, tasting mountain traditional recipes.

In a warm, charming and inviting atmosphere the restaurant offers two menus, the traditional and the seasonal one, harmoniously blending mountain tradition with culinary innovation.

All ingredients are genuine, fresh and selected with care, some of them directly produced by Grange family, who owns the restaurant since 1925. Salami, raw ham and black puddings, named boudin in Aosta Valley local dialect, butter or typical cheeses such as fontina, the main ingredient for local soups, and reblec, a soft cheese served also as a dessert with cinnamon, rum and cane sugar: all these flavours, coming from the old culinary heritage of the Aosta Valley, can be tasted at “La Clusaz” restaurant.

After dinner, retreat to the reading room with its fireplace or, in warm summer evenings, enjoy the fresh mountain air on the restaurant’s terrace.

Closed on Tuesday and at lunch on Wednesday.
