Restaurant “Mezzo Soldo” in the Dolomites, Italy

Ristorante Mezzo Soldo - sala Biedermeier

At Spiazzo, Val Rendena, Trentino, in the heart of the Dolomites, you can find the traditional mountain restaurant ”Mezzo Soldo“, awarded with one Michelin star.

Miradio Lorenzi, forefathers of the current restaurant’s owner, always won public sales offering half-penny more: from this good story comes the restaurant’s name, in fact ”Mezzo Soldo” means half-penny

The stove that goes back to 1820, the 19th century portait, the Tibetan carpet, the cupboard with aromatic spirits and the herbs room with dry flowers that droop from the ceiling create an ethnic and inviting atmosphere to experience and enjoy.

Savour the refined recipes suggested by the cook Oscar Savi and his staff, and prepared using traditional mountain ingredients: polenta, mushrooms, truffle, berries, goat cheese and home made bread.
