Restaurant and Wine Bar “Scrigno del Duomo”, Trento, Italy
The restaurant and wine bar Scrigno del Duomo is located in one of the most beautiful squares of Italy, the Duomo Square in Trento. A gourmet rendezvous between mountains, for enjoying local specialities of a town rich with art and history.
The Scrigno del Duomo has opened its doors in 1999, after the important renovation of the former “Casa Balduini”. The wine bar stands on the ground floor, while the restaurant is located in the basement, within the old cellars of a mansion, whose origins go back to 17th century.
An elegant and refined main dining room welcomes hosts. Other smaller rooms are available for enjoying special dinners in a secluded atmosphere. The most ancient and fascinating room is the cellar, with its Roman walls and the well, dating back to 18th century. Precious and unique wines stand out from a choice of over 750 labels.
For fine food lovers, the chef prepares refined and creative recipes, using traditional and local ingredients.
The wine bar is the perfect place from which to taste delicious food with an excellent glass of wine, even during a quick lunch break.
